Freeway Ministries is located in Omaha, Nebraska. It is a ministry dedicated to helping men struggling with substance abuse. The organization has been in Omaha 4+ years, and during that time lives have been changed, and new directions established.
The main location of Freeway is 1030 South 24th Street. It is a Men’s House and holds 15-20 men. It is a sober living environment for addicts, and men transitioning from incarceration. While here, the men are encouraged and provided opportunities to build a real and encouraging relationship with Jesus Christ. The experience at Freeway equips men with the understanding and life skills needed to live a successful addiction free lifestyle, while also being contributing members of the community. Freeway also provides a Saturday night service every week that includes a meal, childcare and a positive relationship building opportunity for all people. Freeway vans pickup people from all over the area who in most cases do not have transportation. A clothing closet is also available to help anyone with tangible clothing needs. This weekly service is a collaborative effort between the Men’s Discipleship house members, and various churches from all over Omaha. This service is an opportunity for people “off the street” to feel genuinely loved by people of the church. Freeway Ministries is a 501(c)(3) faith-based organization committed to using Biblical truths and reasoning of scripture to help individuals become free from addiction. If you need transportation call (417) 693-5237 or (417) 844-3995 between 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. the day of the event. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED: If you would like to volunteer to help with childcare, serving meals, security, transportation or discipleship, please contact Rick Lechner at (417) 844-3995. |

The ministry started as:
- An organization committed to living out the Gospel and fulfilling the Great Commission found in Matthew 28. We are committed to using Biblical truths and believe through the reasoning of scriptures, people can and will be set free from any and every addiction, all while glorifying Jesus Christ.
- Focused on assisting the local church with hard-to-reach men and women by explaining the Gospel in a way they can relate by people who have been in the same circumstances. We are a gateway into church for the people that are "unchurched". Leave your preconceptions of Christianity at home.
- Exists to educate the church about what we feel is an unreached demographic. By educating the church on situations that some people may have never experienced, it opens doors for love and compassion that is often absent in most local churches. We invite you to share with us how God is changing lives.
