Hello Heroes!
I cannot wait to see you in July when we turn our campers into heroes! I hope you are praying for our campers and team as Kamp is fast approaching.
When we first met to plan Kid's Kamp 2023, we discussed that it would be helpful to have some training. This helps us hit the ground loving our campers, equipping new staff, and reminding those of things we may forget. Meeting before camp is not always doable with crazy summer schedules, so we recorded videos to give an overview of important Kamp items.
We also developed a handbook, so we wouldn’t need to remember everything. When you arrive at camp, we will give you a copy.
Please take some time to watch the videos and read through the Leader Manual.
Follow the process below to get equipped to be a hero in a kid's life, because not all heroes wear capes!

Background Checks
Below you will find a fillable background check form that ALL ATTENDING ADULTS MUST SUBMIT. Background checks are required in order to provide a safe environment for our Kampers. Completed forms must be sent to Matt Lewis, the HCN Administrator, at matt@heartlandchurchnetwork.org.

Training happens in 3 parts:
First, read the Leader Manual. It is your friend!
Second, watch our amazing team give insight about camp. There is a contest in there!
Third, complete the "quiz" forms. These are short answers to help you plan for Kamp.
Fourth, (if you watch the videos you'll know) the first person to email the Assistant Director, Dave, will get a prize during the second chapel! (This is a secondary contest!)
